Advice about personal loans - Advantage loans - are they legitimate?

Q) I've applied for an unsecured loan through a UK company called Advantage Loans. They are a broker and claim that they have found a company who will guarantee to give me a loan (bank have said no as borrowed too much already but want to consolidate a few things). The only thing is they have asked me to send a cheque for £49.50 for their services and I'm very wary of this. They say they are registered with companies house and have a website etc but how can I find out if they are legitimate and/or has anyone had a good experience with this company. I'm worried they'll take my money and say no to the loan. Any experienced help would be great thanks!

A) i would say be very careful with this company. check out as much as you can. get an independant company to check for you. if you can consult a solicitor. some have the first consultation free and pay after. regards | Leslie

Where do I go to get a personal unsecured loan with bad credit?

Q) Internet search engines direct me to sites that you have to pay a membership fee to access their lists of lenders that will "guarantee" you to get approved. Is this really worth it? Do they really have lenders that I won't be able to find otherwise?

A) Do not sign up for a membership. They will give you a list of places you WILL be able to find on your own. They guarantee you will get approved for something because, worst case, they will send you to a site for a payday loan. Do not do a payday! Best bet is to go to prosper.com. It is network of individuals that lend money. If you are looking for $2000 you may get $500 from one person, $200 from another and so on. They have fair interest rates but it takes some work and time to get all that you need. Good luck!

Q) ok people im not stupid i know it is hard to get a high risk unsecured loan. But have any of you had to get one? Personal experience with the company is a plus. my score is below 500. any advice is welcome.. nasty comments are not. any ones online that you dont have to have a membership for there services? please no payday loan sites- ive got enough of those- need to consolidate debt...unless it is over 5000 with long term payoff this is not a small business loan nor do i own a home i can refinance...
